Another day another story

It was a dark Friday evening, I had barely eaten the days prior since I spent all of my monthly stipend partying like a rock-star. I was both tired and famished. Dipping my hands into my pocket all I could find was one TL (Turkish Lira)! Now the options open to a person with one TL are quite limited believe me when I say limited, limited to quite literally nothing!.


That went on for a few hours and like magic my phone rang and it was my friend, my friend whom I hadn't spoken to in months and just out of the blue rings me up!?! I'll do my best to come up with a little above mediocre transcript of the conversation below,

Phone rings
Ghost: Looks, Ahn Ahn! Mr, X is calling! Sharply thinks do I owe him something? Shrugs.

Ghost: Answers, Hello Guy how far ?
Mr, X: I dey now this man you just forget me.
Ghost: Guy no be so! E just get as things be men sigh.
Mr, X: Na so You wan package me abi? You just dey flex your money only you.
Ghost: Keeps quiet,thinking if only you knew (Rolls eyes)
Mr, X: Continues, ah guy you no wan talk abi? Anyway where you dey ?
Ghost: Omo I dey kava apartment near the new harbor. How e dey happen?
 Mr, X: I just say, make I buzz my g make we chill as e be say small thing dey my hand! Ghost: Where you dey?
 Mr, X: I dey city center I go come rise you now oh! Abeg ready I no wan wait 5 mins. Okay?
 Ghost: Ah sure nice 1 we go track! Hangs up.

 Needless to say, that weekend was a blur and even though I was not even financially able to buy myself a meal somehow I survived that day, weekend and even year -laughs- Sometimes as a growing up person LOL! I know I used "growing up" it is is just to emphasize the transformation that occurs as an individual, transitions from kid to adulthood or as Nigerian's call it "coming of age".
